February CHL Class Scheduled

Our CHLclass for the month of February will be held on Saturday, February 18th.  The classroom location is 105 Blackjack Lane, Burleson.  Please use the registration tabs at the top of the page so that we properly prepare for the class.

Class fees:  We currently charge $75.00 for our New CHLclass and $50.00 for the Renewal class.  Due to recent increases in fess, we are considering an additional charge for using your debit/credit cards.  As I personally dislike having different rates for those paying online when I make purchases online but now understand the costs associated with these transactions.  The decision is not yet final and will not be retro-active if we choose that option.

Political season is once again upon us and We The People will once again choose those that represent us in our city, state and federal governments.  If you are not registered to vote please do so.  You have the responsibility to become an informed voter, looking at each candidate for each office, learning where they really stand and if they can be entrusted to make good decisions in office or if they will just follow the "party line" and do nothing more than attempt to build personal wealth and power or push an agenda that will weaken our country or take away our freedoms.  Get involved!!!

Changes Coming in 2012

Just wanted to give you a heads-up about some changes coming to Caliber Self Defense in 2012.

1)  Caliber Self Defense will begin holding classes that include the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Class, Home Firearms Safety Class and Personal Protection Inside the Home Class.  These classes will be taught by a certified NRA Instructor and will include the NRA materials and a Certificate of Completion.

2)  Coming later in the year, we will begin holding the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home training.

3)  We are currently looking for sponsors for the NRA Refuse To Be A Victim course.  This course was designed primarily for women but has grown to include important information for men as well.  This is a great class for businesses, churches and civic groups to offer.
