We recommend that all students qualify with a semi-automatic weapon so that they may legally carry either the semi-auto or revolver.  If you desire to legally carry only the revolver you may qualify with the revolver.  Should you later change your mind and wish to legally carry a semi-auto, you will need to be certified by a CHL instructor and pay for a replacement license with the corrected information.
